pinwheel sampler quilt along : block one.

here is my 1st set of blocks for Rachel's quilt along.only using these four prints. Ginger Blossom flannel. i know that flannel will get bulky. but i am ready to accept what comes. the binding is a pink stripe. cotton. this is my all-time-favorite combination. two layers of flannel. no batting. tied. cotton binding. zig-zig. machine stitched. zag-zag. and if the pinwheels get extremely small i will find another cotton to help out.

Such pretty fabric. I'm interested to see how you like piecing with flannel. I made a flannel quilt once, but used batting in it and it was very heavy.
