Underground Railroad Sampler

the August block is Underground Railroad.
from a Quilt in a Day book by Eleanor Burns & Sue Bouchard.
the fabrics are Sweet Emilie by Jo Morton by Andover Fabrics.
this will be my 4th sampler class at Quilting By The Yard.
to complete the sashing for 12 in. blocks i will need.
24 pieced cornerstones. 2 down. 22 more to go.
and 128 flying geese. 20 down. 108 more to go.
also making 6 in. blocks. they are so cute. and make me smile.

Lovely work Karen. I like making something from the off-cuts which are otherwise wasted in some patterns. Is this how you made the 6" blocks?

The colours look fabulous.

We are also doing the Underground Railroad BOM at my LQS. We, however, are doing 2 blocks a month so the last two are due next Saturday. I am not sure how I will set them but since I did mine in batiks, I know it will be nice. Love your blocks.
