voila! Voila! voila!everything changes when the binding is put on. no more worries about anything.the flannel. the tie-ing. the zig-zagging. the close-enough-seaming.because without these things i might not. no wouldn't have. finished so soon.i don't have a favorite block.and i gave up trying to find the perfect arrangement.it's just a nice feeling to have finished something.thanks Rachel for hosting a very fun quilt along.

almost done. flannel backing. no batting. just peachy Perle Coton. pale pink thread. striped binding. here are Rachel's sashing/finishing instructions. did ya see my fussy-cut-squares. i thought mine needed it.

ready or not. here are more pinwheels. these are my 7th set and 8th set of blocks for Rachel's quilt along.i got to choose which pinwheel to make last. i liked the framing of this one. so i made two more.now on to the sashing/finishing. you can see each of my blocks separately on Flickr here.

here is my 6th set of blocks for Rachel's quilt along.even with Rachel's break at Easter. and having my HST's made. being here and there and away from my home computer has made it difficult to get my blocks sewn and posted. working on block seven. and deciding on which my-choice-pinwheel to make for block eight.

fabric on left is my favorite. and fabric on right was fussy cut to eliminate the pink flowers. you can see my first 8 blocks here.

here is my 1st set of blocks for Rachel's quilt along.only using these four prints. Ginger Blossom flannel. i know that flannel will get bulky. but i am ready to accept what comes. the binding is a pink stripe. cotton. this is my all-time-favorite combination. two layers of flannel. no batting. tied. cotton binding. zig-zig. machine stitched. zag-zag. and if the pinwheels get extremely small i will find another cotton to help out.
