MK's Neighborhood

welcome to the neighborhood.since this may be one of the last new things i start before xmas. i wanted to get right down to it. the sashing is a pretty red and green snowflake print confirming the xmas theme. but i'm adding a beautiful blue snowflake print to the corners.the blue will frame it nicely so i will use for the binding. i received eleven blocks and made four of my own. so there's one block left to fill. i plan to make a tree or some trees. if i can design it the way i imagine it will include a map of very nice bloggers who made the other cottages my neighbors. one of my blocks is being repaired. Jessica's sneaky dog grabbed it from the table one day and chewed on it. he's very sneaky. and even if you watch him carefully. he always gets something. Riley also chewed on one of the Tinkerbell squares. bad dog. we were not amused.but have you ever seen a quilt that just made you laugh. i couldn't stop when i saw this one called My Dog Ate My Quilt. it's at the end of the post. so scroll down just a little. if you know anything about this quilt or quiltmaker please let me know. it surely looks like an original design. and so so funny.

What a beautiful neighborhood! The blue cornerstones really do frame it very nicely. It'll be a great quilt!

Your neighbourhood looks inviting indeed! The posts and sashings are perfect. Is your tree block going to be a Christmas tree by any chance?
Cheers

I had to laugh out loud " my dog ate my quilt "! How funny. I can imagine. A lady gave a trunk show to our group and she brought her quilts and all of them had chew spots in them! I was kind of horrified. But she wasn't. She said they were love spots. I'm afraid I wouldn't think of it quite like that.

Love the way you laid out your blocks. This is so cute. And it really makes them all pop.

Okay I really hope we don't get enouth squares that riley chews up to make a whole quilt, (he actually just ran off with the towel I use to wipe his feet and is chewing it up. right now, BAD DOG!)But, if we did it would be both srappy and ragged, I would call it BAD DOG! but, he is so cute lying by my side, big sigh as he went down defeated not ripping up towel like he wanted to.

LOL love that little "dog ate my quilt". I'm lucky here with the hounds they just like to sit on any fabric on the floor. LOL

Cute cottages with an inspired sashing. Well done! I bought the be Attitudes book today finally. I think it will remind me to be nicer. :-)
