It Really Is Autumn

my Mom is spending a few September days at the Cape. the kids are playing football and practicing their cheers. my sister leaves homemade apple pear cake for school lunches unattended on the kitchen counter. yummm. warm sunny days with a t-shirt turn into chilly nights with a sweatshirt. stitches on the knitting needles. sewing without the air conditioner on. this is my favorite time of year. i've waited all summer for this. what am i doing inside. i should be outside. enjoying as much of this as i can. i need a drive to the beach. just pack a book & a sandwich & go.

We had a nice day today at 18c -good for beaches but not over warm for dogs. I hope you had/have a great time at the beach.

I keep getting email returned from your addy. If you google "beside the sea hilary gooding" there is a beach quilt pdf

Hi Karen the stripey fabric is from a range called beside the sea. The numbers for it are in the pdf.

I've found an Australian selling it

under "retro fabrics".

Hi Karen! Hope you are staying dry in CT this weekend! Yup it is Autumn here, and the leaves are starting to turn-I'd hoped for some great foliage shots but doubt it will happen if the wind knocks all those leaves off...bummer. I will be getting some tubs of cookies next weekend from a fundraiser, and Deja is going to don that wonderful apron you made her and bake with me! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend, despite the rain.
